Overview: In our commitment to community health and disease prevention, the Rotary Club of Smartcity Navi Mumbai organized a comprehensive Thalassemia Awareness Session and Screening Camp at Bharati Vidyapeeth. Project Highlights: Awareness: The session focused on educating young students about Thalassemia, its genetic nature, and the vital importance of pre-marital and pre-conception screening. Action: Following the seminar, a medical team conducted screening tests for 140 students to identify carriers of the Thalassemia minor trait. Impact: By targeting the youth at Bharati Vidyapeeth, we are ensuring that the next generation is well-informed, helping to reduce the incidence of Thalassemia Major in our community.
