The Rotary Club of Smart City has been consistently working for the development of this village every year. Our esteemed Rotarian, Rtn. Nagesh Sir, has generously donated his land and established a Rotary Center in the village. Over the years, the club has successfully implemented several impactful projects, including the distribution of books, bicycles, and shoes for the children. Continuing this commitment, this year we are planning to provide playing equipment for the village school. A visit was conducted to the village to carry out a survey and assess the requirements for the upcoming project. --

Rotary Club of Smart City – Grocery Distribution at Satya Sai Hospital The Rotary Club of Smart City organized a grocery distribution drive at Satya Sai Hospital to support patients and their families during their stay and treatment. Essential food items distributed included: 100 kg rice 100 kg wheat flour 60 kg rava (semolina) 30 kg channa dal 30 kg masoor dal 20 kg salt 10 kg jaggery 10 kg poha 2 tins of cooking oil This initiative was undertaken to provide nutritional support and ease the burden on families facing medical challenges. Great opportunity for our club to perform, execute, and showcase our capabilities at the District level. This program includes: GMS (Grant Management Seminar) DMS (District Membership Seminar) TRF & Polio Awareness Talk. Though our meeting was brief, the exchange of insights and fellowship was incredibly enriching.​Club Highlights & Impact:​The Club is a cornerstone of service in the "City of Temples," known for its deep-rooted community connection:​Kanwariya Jal Sewa: The club runs a massive 24-hour service camp during the Shravani Mela, providing water, milk, and medical aid to over 6 lakh pilgrims (Kanwariyas) visiting the Baba Baidyanath Jyotirlinga.​Cultural & Youth Engagement: They recently hosted the Guru Asit Mukherjee Memorial Singing Grand Finale, one of the city's largest musical reality shows, promoting local talent. MI Saksham-self help group project

Me Saksham – District Thrust Area Project “Me Saksham” was a District Thrust Area project initiated through the collective efforts of the Rotary Clubs of Navi Mumbai, led by RCNM Smart City, RCNM Palm Beach, RCNM Seaside, RCNM Millennium City, and RCNM Satellite City Navi Mumbai, with support from several other clubs across the district. The three-day event provided a platform for women entrepreneurs and Self-Help Groups (SHGs) from Navi Mumbai, Thane, and various parts of Maharashtra. Around 60 stalls were set up, and the response was overwhelming, with demand for stalls exceeding the available capacity. The participants collectively generated approximately ₹2 lakh in sales, helping them earn income, build confidence, and move towards self-reliance. The first day featured a seminar attended by nearly 350 SHG members, social workers, and Rotarians. Sessions covered digital banking, safe financial transactions, loans and microfinance, SHG formation and management, government schemes,

We, enthusiastic Rotarians of our club and Rotractors frpm Rotract Club of Smartcity, started our journey on cars and bikes from Vashi - Avalon International School Gate on the bikes and cars with awareness messages. We travelled from Vashi to Sanpada, to Turbhe, then Nerul near D.Y.Patil College, L.P, Then from Appolo Hospital Gate and we ended our Rally at NMMC Head quarters. At each place, we talked with people about Thalassemia, we distributed awareness pamplets, specially we focused on youngsters. College students from xcxcx had joined with us at our final destination. End Thalessimia District avenue chair Rtn. Jitendra Jadhawani and Rtn. Premkumar also joined there. The students performed a very impactful Streetplay about End Thalassemia.

We visited Turbhe Village which are slums in between the busy Urban area. These are mostly migrant labors families with limited resources. We carried out Medical camp which included General Health check up, dental check up and Eye check up also. The public here have no insurance for them Govt. of India has Ayushyman card wherein they can get Medical Insurance upto 5.00 Lakhs. But the people are not aware of this. Also sometimes they are not able to do documentation required. So, we as Club made them aware, done their documentation and made Ayushyman cards available to deserving poor people of this area.

Rotary Club of Smart City Navi Mumbai arranged an E-Waste Collection Drive after the club meeting, just before Diwali, with the objective of encouraging members and the community to responsibly dispose of electronic waste. This initiative motivated everyone to clean their homes before Diwali and remove all unused, damaged, or obsolete electronic items such as old mobiles, chargers, batteries, cables, small appliances, and other e-waste. By doing so, we not only promoted a cleaner and safer home environment but also contributed towards environmental protection and sustainable waste management. The collected e-waste was handed over to an authorized recycler for proper and eco-friendly disposal, reinforcing Rotary’s commitment to Save Environment, Go Green, and Serve the Community.
